So acer is stealing Ideas from asus now? 18 hours? asus did that first, keyboard dock that turns tablet into netbook/laptop? asus did that first. cant they get their own ideas and innovate the industry like they did with the Iconia dual screen laptop. now that was an original idea of theirs

because some people, like my self, prefer Linux systems over windows because of the customization of the actual system, instead of just widgets or applications. another reason is that its free and most software is free, like libreoffice, which is almost a 1:1 clone of Microsoft office, just published under the GNU software license.
that what you saw in the video is windows8, im pretty sure there will be a way to get linux on there especially since it has a keyboard.

I get the free part but if you would care do type a couple of words into Google, you would see that Windows is just as, if not more customizable than Linux.

I’ve never ever been able to do something on linux that i couldnt do on windows quicker and faster. For standalone applications i can see the point of linux, but as an everyday operating system then is not need for linux at all. Its another option, but certainly not a better one.

The luminosity of the screen is important, especially if you planned to take it outside.
Windows will never be as customizable as Linux. Perhaps even if the source code was released, its proprietary design by a single entity would make it hard to interpret and alter by third parties.
Calc in LibreOffice is nowhere near the level of MS Excel. The other programs are good, but Calc is an annoying waste of time.
that’s a sweet lookin’ tablet/hybrid whatever. Acer did a good job on the design and i love the white color hardware on windows 8.

I use Windows for gaming, thats why I like it so much, you can’t even begin to play games on Linux. I think out side the box, I just think windows is the best, because I’ve used a variety. I’ve been wanting to make a hackintosh, and make my secondary computer linux so I can Have a Media Center Server for my Original XBOX. Don’t judge someone because they like Windows idot.
